Pride has always been a protest (2020)

This set of graphics was designed for AUDG’s socials at the start of June 2020. During the week leading up Pride month, protests broke out nation-wide in honor of George Floyd, who was murdered at the hands of the Police in Minneapolis, MN. Besides the global pandemic we were facing, Pride was especially important this year as it amplified, on a global scale, the injustices that our Black family faces everyday, even within the LGBTQ+ community. Pride was started as a protest started by trans people of color, and it should continue to be a fight against injustices before a celebration.
